Yesterday was fun.
Like I said, yesterday was Aunt and Uncle Day. So happy Aunt and Uncle Day to Uncle Cliff, Bill, Jeff & Rob, as well as Aunt Deb, Sue and Joanne. On top of that, it was my dad's birthday, he turned forty-four.
The Day started out with working with my mom to pay off another phone card. Then I had 5-Day Club, always fun. When I got home, I played some Donkey Konga (I'm addicted, man!) and then read more of my book report book. If anyone knows how to ruin a summer vacation, it's a teacher. Homework over summer = blah. To my english teacher, I stick out my tongue in your general direction.
Then I went up for a Reading Phillies game. My grandparents were suppose to come, they cancelled because of my grandfather's back (most likely just being their normal party-pooping selves). My uncle jumped on this as his excuse not to come as well. So we had 3 extra tickets. We gave 2 of the tickets to a couple who are family friends. We got rid of the last ticket. My parents gave both my sister and I the chance to invite a friend, but none of us had one. It disappointed my money-tight mom. I blame it mostly on Erin. She has 4 times more friends than me.
The game was fun, despite the Phillies losing. It was the same night as baseball bingo, which made it tons of fun. Each move would represent a number. For example, if 1 baseman struck out: B12, if he walked: I27, if he got a single: N33, etc. They have this for every batter for things such as strikeouts, walks, single, double, triple, homerun and base steal. They also had fielder's choice and hit by pitch. Well, I started out doing good. It was fun playing, but it felt awkward because at sometimes you had to cheer for the other team. One time, I needed a strikeout to win. I'm yelling (surrounded by fans), "STRIKE HIM OUT!" By the 8th inning, I was short 2 in 5 different places. Then some old guy left with his family and left 3 bingo cards. Of course, I took them. On two cards he was short by 1 twice! Last inning with two outs. Still short one twice and 2 five times. Then all of a sudden, for the last out, fielder's choice! They say, "On your Bingo scorecard, O67" BINGO!! (for all who don't know, random fact: Bingo is my dog's name) As we were going down to claim my prize, some guy was complaining "O67 is not fielder's choice" and I'm thinking: "SHUT UP! I'M CLAIMING A PRIZE, WHETHER IT'S RIGHT OR NOT!" Luckily, the complaint didn't reach the prize table. I won a hat. I was hoping for something bigger like team autographed ball or free tickets. Anyways, being me, I found the thrill of competition good.
I think I'll go to Reading Phillies games more often.
